Man hunt after attempted ATM robbery

A MAN is on the run after punching another man in the face multiple times while he was withdrawing money from an ATM.

Around 6.30am on November 26, the 64-year-old victim was withdrawing money from an ATM outside a shopping centre along Albany Highway in Kelmscott.

He was approached by an unknown man, who tried to steal the money from the victim’s hands.

When his attempt was unsuccessful, the man assaulted the victim by punching him multiple times to the face.

The victim fell to the ground and called for help, causing the man to run away.

Police said the victim received cuts to his face and he was treated at Armadale Hospital to be discharged the same day.

Detectives have released CCTV footage of a man they believe can assist with inquiries.

The man is described being around 175 – 180cm tall with tanned skin.

He was wearing a Stussy branded dark hooded jacket, dark joggers and trainers.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or assisted the victim during the incident or has dash cam vision in the area at the time of the incident.
