A MAN in his 70s has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a plane crash in Hopeland this morning.

The RAC Rescue helicopter was called to the corner of Yangedi and Wigg Roads where a light plane had crashed into bushland.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said the patient was assessed at the scene and the helicopter was not required to transport the patient.

Career and volunteer fire fighters helped St John Ambulance crews at the scene.
