Ruth de Vos took out the Gerry Gauntlett Award for The Discovering 2, Carly Le Cerf won the MRA Acquisitive Award for Soaked, and Britt Mikkelsen received the Stockland Sculpture Award for Quidalup III.

Local artist Annabel Haizer was recognised for Lost Wor(l)ds, and Eva Fernandez was highly commended for Isabel La Catolica.

The professionally curated exhibition features 74 pieces of art, across mediums including painting, sculpture, photography and textiles.

Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones said the art awards were a premier event on the City’s calendar.

Visitors are invited to vote for their favourite artwork.

Works will be on display at the Armadale District Hall from 11am to 4pm until Sunday May 7.
