The 2016 Australian Grand Dairy Awards announced the Best of the Best of Australian Dairy with Mundella Foods taking home the Champion Natural Yoghurt title.
The yoghurt that was named the cream of the crop was Mundella’s Greek Natural Yoghurt.
The Australian Grand Dairy Awards are the most prestigious dairy awards in the country, with only gold medal-winning products chosen as finalists.
The expert panel of judges tried, tasted and deliberated over a range of dairy products, including cheese, yoghurt, ice cream, milk, butter and dip categories.
Harvey Fresh also won the Champion Milk title.
Mundella Foods general manager David Day said it was good to see WA products winning national awards.
“We have high benchmarks,” he said.
“We individually incubate the yoghurt in the individual pot, rather than stir it.”
