FORRESTDALE Primary School will have new parking control signs installed after concerns from parents and locals.

City of Armadale council voted this week to install the ‘No Stopping’ signs along the Broome Street verge, with restrictions imposed from 7.30am to 9am and 2.30pm to 4pm on school days.

Mayor Henry Zelones said cars parked on the verge were creating a potentially hazardous situation for children and parents.

“There is ample parking provided in the on-road parking bays directly located across from the drop off and pick up points, however many cars continue to park in a disorderly fashion on the verge.”

City rangers will be frequenting the area to enforce the new restrictions.
