Francis CurroComment News

The current station on Anstey Road in Mundijong is set to be replaced by the new station which will be at 62 Mundijong Road.

Mundijong Police officer in charge Darryl Brandis said it would be easier for the public to see the station in that spot.

“It is absolutely brilliant. It is going to be on a main road where people can see us a lot easier and we will be more accessible,” he said.

“We are going ahead with the next generation of better computers and better communication as well as a better co-ordination of resources.

The Mundijong policing team will remain in their current station on Anstey Road until the new one opens.

Police Minister Liza Harvey said it was an important asset in a fast-growing area.

“The $8 million Mundijong station will not only accommodate the current Mundijong Local Policing Teams, it will be able to cope with up to 30 years of growth in the region,” she said.
