He was bailed with strict conditions and was due to appear in Armadale Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.

It will be alleged the man communicated with what he believed to be a 14-year-old girl through Facebook.

“These predators should be aware that law enforcement will track them down,” AFP Commander Glen McEwen said.

“Parents and children must also be mindful of the risks posed by social media and various applications, and what can be done to prevent direct approaches online from people they don’t know in the real world.”

Members of the public who have any information about people involved in child exploitation are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
