Elfie Joost of Shelley recently took part in a health program.

‘It was very hard to start. After two days I told my daughter I was never dieting again,’ Ms Joost said.

‘Although it was difficult, it was worth sticking with and I’ve had amazing results.’

Since starting the complete health improvement program, she said her triglyceride levels (blood fats) came down by 53 per cent from very high to almost ideal.

The 74-year-old said her cholesterol dropped by 24 per cent in three weeks from high to ideal and the same with her blood pressure, going from 150/82 to 140/74.

‘When you are living by yourself your eating habits tend to get worse,’ she said.

‘I went from just not putting in much effort to now cooking nice meals for myself.

Ms Joost said she previously had trouble sleeping but now was able to get a good night’s rest.

Everybody tells me I look good and I feel good too.’

Livingston Seventh-day Adventist Church will hold a free information session on the program on Sunday, January 19 at 2pm on 291 Nicholson Road, Canning Vale.
