Parents urged to check for deadly second-hand baby rockers

Staff WriterComment News

PERTH parents are being urged to stop using the Fisher-Price Rock ’n Play sleeper after it was linked to 32 infant deaths overseas between 2011 and 2018. The product was sold in Australia between January 2010 and December 2013 – so parents may be using a second-hand sleeper. The deaths were caused by unrestrained infants rolling from their backs to their stomach or side and suffocating. The sleeper was hailed as a “sanity saver” by sleep-deprived parents when it was released and has a five-star rating online. Big W, David Jones and Toys R Us sold the sleepers in Australia.
