Patrol yields wanted man

About 2.45pm last Wednesday, Canning Vale officers patrolling the suburb saw a ute parked in a Yale Road driveway with a man they recognised in the driver’s seat, a WA Police spokesman said.

The officers confirmed that he had two outstanding arrest warrants and tried to arrest him, but he allegedly sprayed one of them in the face with the liquid before winding up the window and driving off, hitting the police car in the process.

Officers seized the ute later, from where it was abandoned at another Thornlie house linked to the man.
