LEGO, theatre and robotics combined to give students at Piara Waters Primary School and Xavier Catholic School a unique Stem learning experience last week.

The National Theatre for Children brought their touring Bee on the Team (BOTT) comedy show to the schools where they interwove theatre with science before the students were asked to break into teams and explore real-world scientific problems using Lego Education WeDo 2.0 kits.

National Theatre for Children managing director Tobias Benn said the program was the first of its kind.

“The National Theatre for Children’s BOTT program offers primary school students hands-on, in-class Stem education experiences combined with Lego Education robotics, all tied together by the motivational and educational impact of live theatre.”

The visit marked the third year the National Theatre for Children had combined with Stockland to provide such programs at local schools.
