Plenty to do in Armadale during April school holidays

THERE is no reason for children to be bored at home these school holidays with an array of fun activities for them to try in Armadale.

Pre show entertainment will begin from 6pm, with the screening to finish at approximately 8.30pm.

– It will be a day all about the kids as the Artbeat Youth Fest arrives at the Jull Street Mall on April 14.

The City of Armadale event will include a range of free youth-friendly activities with music, community street art, food trucks, stalls, games and a chill out zone all in the jam-packed program.

The Artbeat Youth Fest is part of WA Youth Week celebrations and will be held from 11am to 3pm.

– Australian author and entertainer Andy Jones will be at the Kelmscott Library to present his Raps, Rhymes and Putrid Poetry workshop.

The workshop aims to make young attendees aged five to 12 laugh with gross, grotty, slimy and snotty verse.

Raps, Rhymes and Putrid Poetry is at the Kelmscott Library from 2pm to 3pm on April 17.

– Enjoy the creativity of making your own book at Armadale Library’s Hotdog Books Competition.

Attendees to the workshop will get the chance to be a published author and illustrator by creating their own book and leaving a copy for others to read in the Armadale Book Cubby.

The workshop is suitable for children aged six to 11.

The Hotdog Books Competition is at the Armadale Library from 2pm to 3.30pm on April 20.

Attendees can let their creativity run wild as they build whatever weird or wonderful creation pops into their minds.
