Police arrest Beckenham man in relation to damaged speed camera

POLICE have arrested a man for allegedly damaging a fixed speed camera on Roe Highway almost a year ago.

The speed camera cabinet in Beckenham was forced open and the camera damaged beyond use on March 21 last year.

Late last week, police received information regarding the damaged camera which led them to a Beckenham address, where they arrested a 40 year-old man in relation to the incident.

He has been charged with criminal damage and will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on March 22.
