Police charge eight people

A WA Police spokeswoman said detectives searched properties in Huntingdale and Maddington and found stolen vehicles and evidence of vehicle rebirthing.

Car rebirthing is a multimillion-dollar industry that gives damaged, written-off or stolen cars a new identity with stolen parts.

A Huntingdale man (45) faces charges including possessing stolen property, aggravated possession of an unlicensed firearm, possessing a prohibited drug and having ready access to weapons and cash. He is due to appear at Armadale Magistrates Court on January 24.

Another Huntingdale man (26) faces charges including aggravated possession of unlicensed firearms and possessing a prohibited weapon. He is due to appear at Armadale Magistrates Court on January 24.

A 23-year-old Huntingdale man has been charged with three counts of stealing motor vehicles and two of driving without authority and will appear in court on January 21

A Huntingdale woman (29) will be summonsed on charges of possessing a weapon and possessing amphetamines.

A 31-year-old Huntingdale woman has been charged with possessing amphetamine and possessing paraphernalia.

She will appear at Armadale Magistrates Court on January 28.

A Thornlie man (29) has been charged with two counts of committing acts likely to endanger life, health or safety. He will appear in court on a date to be set.

A Gosnells man (30) has been charged with aggravated common assault and damage. He appeared at Armadale Magistrates Court on January 8 and had his community-based order cancelled, was fined $300 plus court costs and given a suspended 12-month sentence.
