Police investigate Armadale assault

POLICE are investigating an assault in Armadale which left the victim with a bruised and swollen face.

At 1.30pm on Sunday, September 9, a male employee of an Armadale Road store was speaking to two women after they were allegedly caught stealing.

While they were talking, a man approached the group and started yelling at the staff member before punching and kneeing him.

During the altercation a gold chain around the victim’s neck broke and fell to the floor.

One of the women picked it up and walked away.

Police have released CCTV images of a man and woman they believe can help with their investigation.

The man is described as being between 25 and 35 years old with a solid build, short dark hair and wearing blue jeans and a multicolour ‘Villains’ shirt.

The woman is described as being between 20 and 30 years old with a thin build and dark hair, wearing a blue and white jacket, dark long pants and purple runners.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
