Police investigate Forrestdale bushfire

POLICE are investigating a bushfire which threatened lives and homes in Forrestdale last week.

The fire was believed to have started in bushland on Oxley Road about 3pm on December 3.

The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious and Strike Force Vulcan officers are investigating.

Investigators wish to speak to the driver of a black coloured, older model Mitsubishi Pajero that was seen near Commercial Road around 2.45pm and Kargotich Road heading towards Oxley Road at around 3.05pm.

Anyone who were driving near Nicholson, Commercial, Kargotich and Oxley Roads in Forrestdale between 2.30pm and 3.30pm who have dash-cam vision of the area is asked to come forward.

Anyone with information regarding this fire or who saw any suspicious people, or vehicles, particularly the black Pajero, in the vicinity of the fire, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.

Callers may remain anonymous if they wish.
