Warning not to approach gunman on the run

A MANHUNT is underway for a 28-year-old suspected gunman who police believe was involved in a shooting in Langford yesterday.

Police warned members of the public not to approach Hari Darsan Ganeshan who is considered dangerous and may still be in possession of a firearm.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after being shot in the abdomen at about 1pm yesterday afternoon.

While a heavy police presence was called to the scene at Wingrove Road in Langford, the shooter evaded officers and has not yet been traced.

“Police are urgently seeking information regarding the whereabouts of 28-year-old Hari Darsan Ganeshan who can assist them with a current investigation,” a police spokeswoman said in statement.

“The public are warned not to approach Mr Ganeshan as he is considered dangerous and may be in possession of a firearm.

“Anyone who sees Mr Ganeshan or has any information regarding his whereabouts, is asked to call police immediately.”

Mr Ganeshan is described as dark skinned, with a large build, approximately 179cm tall, black eyes, short dark hair and facial hair.

Anyone who sees Mr Ganeshan or has any information regarding his whereabouts, should call police on 131 444.
