KELMSCOTT music lovers will be able to take a toe-tapping stroll down memory lane and enjoy an evening of 1920s jazz next month.

The Armadale City Concert Band and singer Katherine John are gearing up to perform a concert called Puttin’ on the Glitz at the Kelmscott Hall on July 2.

Musical director Amanda Johnson said the audience would enjoy the glamorous age of jazz.

“We are extremely excited to be able to showcase the talents of the band and the collaboration with Katherine will add a wonderful dynamic to the night,” Ms Johnson said.

The concert follows the band’s successful participation in the WA Band Association’s 2016 championships, coming second in the B Grade concert band category.

And its saxophone quartet came first in the ensemble division.

Puttin’ on the Glitz starts at 7pm, tickets are $15.
