Radio-controlled sprint cars stolen from Gosnells home

Greig JohnstonComment News

A GOSNELLS man has appealed for information about the theft of three radio-controlled sprint cars from his home yesterday.

Dale Pyke said the thieves will have no way of piloting the vehicles – which are worth about $5000 each – as they have not got the remote control.

“They’re radio-controlled, quarter-scale sprint cars,” Mr Pyke said.

“They’re highly unique, custom hand-built by myself.

“There’s only two places in WA that can run them – they’re a scaled down version of a full-sized sprint car.”

Mr Pyke believed he was the victim of a targeted theft.

The thieves had a vehicle and the cars were taken from his home between 8am and 5pm on Monday.

“One of the cars was brand new and due to be delivered to the owner today,” Mr Pyke said.
