Mr Agostino said he had been a support crewmember as part of the ride for the past four years and this year decided to hop on the bike.

“Since beginning my training for Ride for Sick Kids, I have well and truly caught the cycling bug; it is now one of my greatest passions.

“I average about 250km a week on the bike and have clocked up about 9000km this year.”

As part of the ride, Ronald McDonald Houses allow families to stay with their sick children while receiving hospital treatment

“We’re so happy to be getting back on the road again for this amazing cause.”
