Ride share driver charged with indecent assault

PERTH police have charged a 51-year-old ride-share driver after he allegedly indecently assaulted a woman in her 20s during a trip to Northbridge.

About 11pm on Saturday night, the woman got into the front passenger seat of a rides-hare vehicle after the driver allegedly told her the rear passenger doors were broken.

Police say that during the journey from a southern Perth suburb to Northbridge, the driver indecently assaulted the woman.

The man, from Southern River, has been charged with four counts of indecent assault and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on October 21.
