Staff WriterComment News

THE RSPCA is investigating a disturbing report of a cat being beaten and strangled to death in Roleystone.

The incident occurred at a property on Brooks Road.

A neighbor found the cat dead on the owner’s driveway with a length of rope nearby.

The cat was taken to a nearby vet, where it was confirmed she had likely died from blunt trauma to the head and strangulation.

The attack occurred last Friday in the morning/early afternoon while the cat was tethered on a leash in the front garden of the property.

The injuries do not appear to be consistent with a dog attack or being hit by a car and the photos are too graphic to share.
