Rugby union: ARKS smash Wanneroo 58-27

Jessica NicoComment News

A FOUR-try haul to Dane Jobe has helped ARKS Rugby Union Club to a 58-27 win over Wanneroo Districts in their Premier Grade match at Harrisdale Field.

The high-scoring affair was dominated by the hosts, who led by 14 points at half time and never looked back to claim their second win of the season.

Despite missing key players Saula Fitifa and Cameron and Harrison Orr, ARKS responded well after going behind early, with quick tries to Jobe and Elliot Turner giving them the lead.

Graham Sullivan and Russell Burges added two more tries to further extend the lead before the break.

Jobe grounded another just after half time and despite some better resistance from Wanneroo, ARKS continued their dominance to record a confidence-boosting win.

ARKS reserves weren’t able to share the success, going down to Wanneroo 72-14, while the third grade went down to Wanneroo 15-0.
