A 28-YEAR-old man who died at a residence in Seville Grove is believed to be former Fremantle Dockers player Shane Yarran.

Just after 4pm today, police released a statement saying they were responding to the death, which was not being treated as suspicious.

It said a report will be prepared for the State Coroner.

Yarran had been training with WAFL club Subiaco during the pre-season, where he won premierships in 2014 and 2015.

Though for the past fortnight, he had been playing for WA Amateur Football League C1 grade team Gosnells.

Last month, he was convicted of trespass after he was caught walking around on the roof of an Armadale house before jumping a fence into a property on a neighbouring street in December.

Yarran was drafted by the Dockers at the end of 2015 after kicking 54 goals from 19 games at Subiaco that season.

He played six games with the Dockers before off-field dramas prevented him from playing the entire season.
