Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale busy connecting with community

Ben SmithComment News

SHIRE of Serpentine Jarrahdale has been busy over the past month holding three public workshops to plan for the future of the community.

Throughout February and March, the Shire hosted their inaugural business forum, a sporting club development program and their SJ Real Choices workshops.

The meetings outlined plans for Serpentine Jarrahdale’s future, discussing the importance of long-term planning and sustainability while also asking for feedback from residents towards proposed development plans.

While sporting club development was a one-off meeting, the SJ Real Choices program has three more public forums throughout March, and the business forum is likely to hold future meetings.

The SJ Real Choices online engagement forum was also launched, and residents unable to attend the future workshops are encouraged to offer feedback through the website.

Shire President John Erren said he was pleased with the forums and the shire’s future was promising.
