Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale calls on community to be involved in shaping its future

MEMBERS of the community will have a chance to help shape the future of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is about the begin the development of its 2050 vision of where the Serpentine Jarrahdale community want to be in the year 2050.

They are calling on the community to become part of a community reference group that will assist with shaping the future of the area.

The Shire said the group could be made of up of people of all ages from community groups and not-for-profit organisations; environmental and heritage groups or associations; business, industry and developer representatives; education committees and sporting clubs and primary producers.

Participants will be expected to attend workshops at the preliminary stages of developing the vision and will be invited to attend open community sessions.

Key dates will be made available on request.

Anyone interested in being a part of the group can send expressions of interest, including a cover letter explaining why they are interested and area of expertise or relevant interests, as well as a curriculum vitae to info@sjshire.wa.gov.au.

Applications close at 5pm Friday 13 May.

The Shire will review applications received and contact the successful applicants within the following week.
