Sixth man charged over Hakea prison murder

POLICE have charged a sixth man over the murder of inmate Alf Deon Eades in Hakea Prison.

Guards found Eades, 46, injured in his cell on February 26.

He was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital but died on March 11.

Police have so far charged two 22-year-old men, a 21-year-old man and a 20-year-old man with murder.

On April 29, a fifth man – a 23-year-old – was charged with murder and appeared in Armadale Magistrates Court on April 30.

Now Homicide Squad detectives have charged a sixth man.

The 21-year-old will appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court today, May 2.
