‘I help take their minds off everything,’ Mrs Rodgers says.

‘You’re there to make the children smile but you are also there for the parents. Parents are often stressed and children feed off that.

‘It’s such a rewarding thing to do.’

Mrs Rodgers said volunteers were always needed.

Radio Lollipop is holding a Golden Ticket Raffle to raise funds for the transfer of Radio Lollipop from Princess Margaret Hospital to the new children’s hospital.
