Smoke alert advice issued for Mardella fire in Serpentine Jarrahdale

DRIVERS are urged to take care around the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale area after a fire started in Mardella this morning.

The fire started around 7am, and smoke is impacting nearby roads.

Drivers in the area should be “extremely careful”, turn headlights on and drive slowly.

Any drivers who cannot see clearly should pull over, keep their headlights and hazard lights on, and wait until the smoke clears.
