Susan Downey-Yarlett won the historical category with her photo Armadale Pools, while honourable mentions were given to Noviyah Crunkhorn and Christy Wintle.

Winners received a cash or voucher prize and a professionally mounted print of their photo.

Mayor Henry Zelones said they had received more than 50 entries for this year’s competition, which was run under the theme ‘The City at Play’.

“Our residents spend their leisure time in so many different ways and locations throughout the City, and this year the entries captured some remarkable images of our local parks and playgrounds, community events and facilities,” he said.

“For anyone interested in viewing the winning photographs, visit the display at the Armadale Library until Friday June 22.”
