YALE Primary School has benefited from an act of generosity from two local community groups.

The Southern Districts Rotary Club and Gosnells Men’s Shed have helped the school by purchasing equipment for its rewards room.

The Rotary Club purchased $1400 worth of new toys and games for the room, which was in need of refurbishment, and Men’s Shed members helped assemble them.

The money purchased foosball, air hockey, pool and table tennis tables, an electronic basketball game, and a free standing X-box for the room.

Yale positive behaviour chairperson Liz Bradford said students would only be able to access the room at their teacher’s discretion.

“You have to earn your way into the reward room, by doing your best, being caring, being responsible and being respectful. These are the school’s BEE values,” she said.
