MOST school students want nothing to do with school during the school holidays but a small group of Southern River College students were more than happy to spend time with their teachers when they visited Parliament House with Gosnells MLA Chris Tallentire yesterday.
Mr Tallentire was joined by teacher and Labor candidate for Southern River Terry Healy along with students Chris Lesiter, Natasha Lill, Bianca Odendal and Adrian Lambrianou.
The students said they were happy to take the excursion in school holidays because it was a good opportunity.
The students had a tour of Parliament and spoke to Mr Tallentire about what issues concerned them in the political world.
Several students mentioned the safe schools program and how it influenced their schoolwork.
Other students mentioned lack of funding for future infrastructure as issue the government may face in the future.
