Verbrugge has offered her work at a reduced price for the fundraiser, which aims to bring the village’s teachers Charles and Lynette Kafa on an educational trip to attend meetings and visit schools in the Gosnells/Armadale region.

Verbrugge said the pieces for sale were impressionistic in style and mostly pastels, though oils, acrylics and oil paint sticks would also be on show.

Subjects included both landscapes and still-lifes, with some portraits thrown in.

She said of particular note was a large canvas depicting the Biblical scene of God speaking to Elijah in the cave.
