WHILE it’s rare to find more than one mullet in a crowd, on Sunday it’s predicted that about 20 of them will descend on a Thornlie pub.
No, we aren’t talking about the fish – we’re talking about the hairstyle that should have disappeared in the 80s.
The Lakers Tavern Dirty Mullet Catwalk is the brainchild of venue manager Jessica Weber and a manager.

“We have quite a few local mullets,” Ms Weber said.
“We’ve had a really good response – about 17 people have entered so far.
Ms Weber said the mullets would be judged on length, style, accessories and overall appearance.
“Entrants are encouraged to dress up,” she said.
“We’ve been handing out cards saying ‘your mullet has impressed us'”.
Ms Weber said all the entrants had to apply on Facebook so there aren’t any standout hairstyles as yet.
