Thornlie newsagency Forest Lakes Newspower just the ticket for Lotto winners

Ben SmithComment News

A THORNLIE newsagency is feeling lucky after selling its fourth division one-winning lottery ticket in just two years.

Forest Lakes Newspower has celebrated selling a winning ticket in the February 10 Lotto Superdraw, worth an incredible $1.5 million.

While it was the largest win the newsagent has enjoyed so far, it follows on the heels of two winning tickets last year – in addition to another winner in 2016.

Overall, it was the outlet’s second winning Superdraw ticket in the last two years.

Manager Danny Khetani said the store was on a roll and he was confident of selling more winning tickets.

“It feels like we’re lucky, it is always good to sell a division one winner from the shop, they’re hard to come by,” he said.

Mr Khetani said the winning ticket had been bought by a regular customer who was in disbelief over their victory.

“They were so surprised, they honestly could not believe they had won,” he said.
