Thornlie: police officer charged after allegedly hitting man with car

A 55-year-old WA Police officer has been charged after the vehicle he was driving allegedly struck a pedestrian in Thornlie on May 6.

The incident occurred about 3pm Wilfred Road.

The man sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.

The senior sergeant has been charged with dangerous driving, and is due to appear in the Armadale Magistrate’s Court on November 20.

The officer remains stood aside from operational duties.
