A STAND-OFF in Thornlie yesterday afternoon was brought under control after the Tactical Response Group (TRG) were called to a home on Sugarwood Drive to negotiate with a man who was making threats and claiming he had a firearm.
The street was locked down for almost six hours before the TRG made their way into the home.
Police said the man was making threats towards himself and another person.
Paramedics were called to the home about 1pm before police were called.

The man was taken to hospital.
Police are still investigating.
