Three people charged after shots fired in Oakford

THREE people have been charged over an incident in Oakford last night in which two men allegedly fired guns.

Police allege that a 33-year-old man was sending threatening text messages to a 30-year-old woman last night.

About 11.30pm, he attended at house on Thomas Road on Oakford where she was staying and made demands to see her while brandishing a  gun.

He then allegedly fired a round.

A 25-year-old man left the house before also firing a round.

Police were called, and the 33-year-old man was taken into custody.

No one was hurt during the incident.

A 33-year-old man from Kelmscott has been charged with discharging a firearm to cause fear, possessing a firearm with circumstances of aggravation, possessing unlicensed ammunition, and making threats to kill.

He will appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court today.

A 25-year-old man from Oakford has been charged with discharging a firearm to cause fear, possessing a firearm with circumstances of aggravation and possessing unlicensed ammunition.

He will appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court on June 28.

A 51-year-old woman has been charged with failing to ensure safe-keeping of firearm and ammunition and will appear in court at a later date.
