The schools gold coin fundraiser featured its own Facebook page, a prize for the best dressed pink-clad students and a raffle of a pink stumps cricket set and hat signed by Glenn McGrath.

The school community loved it; it will be an event that we will hold for many years, organiser and Year 3 teacher Jessie McNally said.

Breast cancer is a horrible disease that is very close to everyone in our school community. We currently have two teachers going through chemotherapy and radiation and have had multiple other staff members survive this in the past, as well as other cancers. Its also very close to my heart as my mother and nanna are both survivors, meaning Im on the watch, even at the age of 26.

The school held a similar fundraiser last year and has now raised nearly $2000 for the foundation.
