A 56-year-old woman has been taken to Royal Perth Hospital after crashing her truck into Clifton Hills Primary School in Kelmscott this morning.

Fire crews worked to free the woman from the truck after it hit a classroom at the school.

The school is located on Connell Avenue.

A preliminary police report on the incident said the truck “rolled” into the building, but no word was given on an approximate speed.

Police say no children were hurt.

A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said the truck driver’s injuries were not life-threatening and she was in a stable condition when she arrived at the hospital.
