Among the 237 new students this year were four sets of twins.
Principal Trevlyn Geiles said he had never come across so many sets of twins before in his career.
“It is quite unusual, but they’re all settling in well,” he said

While the twins may have a buddy for life to get them through the daunting high school transition, the majority of students don’t have the same support.
Mr Geiles said this year’s induction program for Year 7 students was designed to not only help with the transition, but to also show students how to get the best out of secondary school.
Students were taught social and emotional learning skills through a program known as MindUp, which focuses on how the brain works.
They also learnt about study skills, mental health and wellbeing and team building.
