THE benefits of an ancient Chinese health drink, and how to make it, will be discussed at the next Roleystone Organic Growers meeting next Wednesday.
Former local Lyn De Reggi will talk about the health benefits of a fermented drink called kombucha that has been consumed for thousands of years.
It is made from tea, sugar and beneficial bacteria and yeasts that are used to ferment the drink.
Ms De Reggi will also give recipes for kombucha vinegar, salad dressings and cleaners.
She has been involved in the slow food movement for the past 10 years and makes all her own jams and preserves.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 13 at the Roleystone Family Centre, starting 7.30pm.
Entry $3, details call Lisa 9399 2312.
