Upgrade plan for Wilpon St Reserve

Francis CurroComment News

At the Gosnells ordinary council meeting on March 8, the council voted in favour of the City buying the house. The City said the reason for the purchase of the land was because Wilpon Street Reserve was small with limited infrastructure and buying this bit of land would make it a more functional, accessible and usable space for the community.

According to council documents, it will take some time for the City to develop a detailed plan to enhance the reserve.

As a result, Council voted in favour of allowing the tenant to remain in the house rent-free for the first six months as it will not be converted into public open space immediately.
