GREEN thumb volunteers are needed for a National Tree Day event in Kelmscott tomorrow.

The City of Armadale and the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group (AGLG) are asking for volunteers to help plant seedlings at Kelmscott’s Goolamrup Reserve.

City of Armadale mayor Henry Zelones said it was a chance for locals to give back to the community and the environment.

“This event is an opportunity for locals to get outdoors and meet other likeminded people in your community while making a positive impact on our environment,” he said.

“You can volunteer an hour or for the whole morning – the time you contribute to land care makes a big difference.”

Volunteers are asked to meet near the footbridge at Buckingham and Roberts roads from 9am to 12pm on July 28.

Morning tea will be provided.
