At the Knowledge Centre library between 10.30am and noon, people can do an online ‘money health check’ and speak to a financial counsellor.
Hundreds of similar events will be on nationwide for MoneySmart Week, which runs from September 1 to 7.
Those who cannot attend the Gosnells session can visit moneysmartweek.org.au and answer questions about their situation across eight topics to find out which are under control and which are not.
An action plan will then give tips to improve areas that need attention.
The website has mortgage, loan and first-home saver calculators, a budget planner and retirement planner.
A TrackMySpend app is also available to help users record their spending over different categories and identify potential savings.
