Weekend opening of revamped Mills Park in Beckenham a party for the public

There will be free entertainment, rides, a skate clinic, a treasure hunt, nature play fun, ‘Have-a-go’ events by local sports groups, seniors’ activities, community group demonstrations and craft activities.

People will have the chance to tour the facility to check out the walking paths, environmental features and wetland areas.

The $47 million regional facility features a 6-Star Green Star-awarded community centre, nature play space, skate plaza, WA’s first synthetic soccer pitches, tennis courts and two ovals with kiosks and change rooms, cricket nets, barbecues, shade shelters, seating and path network.
