Woman dies in hospital after Martin siege

Staff WriterComment News

A 64-year-old woman has died in hospital after a siege in the south-eastern Perth suburb of Martin.

Police were called to the Douglas Road home about 9am on Monday to help another agency.

Once there, a five-hour stand-off was sparked when the woman and her 65-year-old husband allegedly made threats and police cordoned off Douglas Road as a precaution.

The Tactical Response Group attended the scene, and the couple was taken into custody yesterday afternoon.
