Armadale Aquatic Centre crying out for long-overdue upgrade

Name and address suppliedComment News

THE Armadale community has been advocating for 10 years, if not more, to upgrade the Armadale aquatic centre.

You would think that in this time, along with yearly rate increases supposedly for asset and infrastructure maintenance, the City of Armadale would have developed plans for its upgrade.

So imagine the surprise when it was reported that the council failed in its grant application to upgrade the aquatic centre because it was not ready to proceed with any redevelopment plans.

All of our neighbouring councils have better recreation facilities than Armadale; even the City of Kwinana has an aquatic centre with a hydrotherapy pool that is open 12 months of the year.
