Death Toll Continues on the Roads

NEARLY 30 years of the so-called RBT did not stop some 11 people from dying over the recent long weekend.

Double demerit points did not stop them from dying. Increased fines did not stop them from dying. The revenue-raising cameras did not stop them from dying. Licence suspensions did not stop them from dying.

The well-funded road safety industry should be made accountable to the degree of being required to explain exactly why it let each of these deaths occur.

Millions of dollars went down the gurgler. The road safety industry should have halted the road toll by now.
