If we are sick and unable to go to our doctor, he or she won’t visit. There is no domiciliary service. After hours, they use a locum service or we have to call an ambulance. It increases cost and requires long waiting times.
I was a GP in Perth from 1968 to 2004 and visited many of my patients. I found it very good to see how they were coping and arrange care if necessary.
